
EJS Business Services is a rural-based strategic bookkeeping and business advisory firm specialising in agricultural and regional businesses, with a particular focus on family farms and agribusinesses.
The fully remote team is made up of rural women across Australia, including New South Wales and Tasmania, all with farming backgrounds. This lived experience gives EJS a deep understanding of the realities of farm life and business, which is a key point of difference that resonates with their regional clients.
In this case study we sat down with Emily Sinderberry of EJS Business Services, who uses XBert daily in her business.
EJS were juggling disconnected systems, limited visibility across their remote team, and AI tools that didn’t suit the complexities of agricultural clients. “It has also provided unexpected points of difference like highlighting a client’s junior employee birthdays. That’s given us a touch point to reach out to a client and say, ‘Hey, review their pay rate."
As well as being able to pick up errors faster and be alerted to risks in real time. The flow on effect has been that EJS is able to offer more value in advisory to clients which they love.

With core workflows optimised and alerts set up, EJS Business Services is now looking forward to setting up more reporting and the new features such as receipt capture and auto bank reconciliation.
“I am keen to see the new receipt capture and auto bank rec feature in action. It's definitely exciting. I’d love to see where that could go.”
Emily said she loves being able to just reach out to the team and ask for a call with XBert to help her set up new features.
